Santa is arriving in Plant City, Florida tonight at the town’s annual Christmas parade and the children can hardly wait.
Chairs of every shape, size and color line Collins Street through the historic downtown area in anticipation of the 7PM start.
Don’t even think of driving your vehicle anywhere near the parade route for at least two hours because you will be totally distracted by the eager looks on faces of every age. This is a family affair and a longstanding tradition of 29 years.
Last night McCall Park was filled with friendly folks who came out to watch the Lights of Love tree light up for the first time and have photos made with Santa.
Now begins the Christmas productions and musical presentations from so many of the churches here in our charming little town. Thankfully, this is a faith-filled community and I for one, am grateful for that.
Bless You, Lord, for planting me here. It is a pleasant place, indeed.
